Not Quite Steak...

Lars tried food for the first time a couple days ago. I can't say he really liked it or hated it. He didn't really know what to do with it, which is totally normal the first time you put cereal in a baby's mouth when they have only had milk thus far! Here is a video of the first moment with food. (You'll notice we didn't really "Set the stage", calm/quite, we want all our kids to be middle children, so we invited over a small audience:).

Lars thinks a high chair should be used for playing with Tigger and Duck!! He was smilling really big and I was just a little slow with the camera, so you get the half smile.

Jessi, he did great! Babies swallowing abilities aren't developed yet, so he's learning to move food from the front of his mouth to the back of his mouth. That's why those mesh bags aren't so great for babies to "suck food through" as they're still sucking. There's plenty of sucking practice with bottles or nursing, what you're doing is novel and very important! Well done Lars!
